New               Hampshire               is               known               for               its               high               quality               state               schools               which               offer               tremendous               savings               for               instate               compared               to               out               of               state               students.

The               four               major               public               colleges               and               universities               in               New               Hampshire               include               Plymouth               State               College,               Keene               State               College,               Granite               State               College,               and               University               of               New               Hampshire.

This               article               will               give               a               review               of               what               each               college               offers,               why               someone               would               choose               the               particular               college,               and               price               range.

University               of               New               Hampshire
               UNH               is               the               top               school               on               this               list               as               the               other               three               are               satellites               in               the               university               system.

UNH               is               located               in               Durham,               NH               next               to               the               beaches               such               as               Hampton               and               Rye.

Durham,               NH               is               a               small               town               that               caters               to               the               college               students               with               many               businesses               catering               entirely               to               college               business.

The               University               is               known               in               state               for               its               medical               programs,               engineering,               and               its               Whittemore               School               of               Business               and               Economics.

With               room               and               board,               tuition,               and               fees               in               state               costs               can               average               around               23,000-25,000               per               year               while               out               of               state               can               expect               to               pay               $37,000               or               more.

This               school               in               New               Hampshire               is               the               largest               and               arguably               the               most               recognized               out               of               the               other               public               New               Hampshire               schools.

UNH               offers               degrees               from               associates               up               to               doctorates               and               is               somewhat               competitive               with               a               65%               acceptance               rate.

Keene               State               College
               Keene               State               College               is               a               small               liberal               arts               college               that               caters               to               individual               needs               of               students               with               good               one               on               one               professor               time.

I               have               gone               to               KSC               for               two               years               and               have               found               it               a               very               rewarding               experience;               the               only               students               that               get               left               behind               here               are               the               ones               who               do               not               participate.

The               school               does               not               offer               too               many               diverse               clubs               for               all               students'               tastes               but               they               do               offer               great               division               three               sports               teams               that               are               moderately               competitive;               if               sports               is               not               your               thing               there               are               always               fraternities               and               sororities,               as               well               as               a               multitude               of               other               student               activities.

The               dining               commons               were               recently               rebuilt               and               offer               very               good               food               from               stir               fries               to               pizza               and               vegan               choices               among               others;               arguably               some               of               the               best               in               the               state.

The               staff               at               KSC               is               mostly               friendly               and               offer               good               career               advice,               but               be               warned               they               do               not               come               to               you,               if               you               want               to               succeed               you               must               search               for               them               yourself.

This               school               is               known               for               the               liberal               arts               degrees               and               ease               of               transfer               credits               to               UNH               as               KSC               is               a               satellite               school.

The               cost               is               about               $20,000               in               state               (which               is               what               I               paid)               and               out               of               state               is               around               $25,000               per               year               but               prices               differ               depending               on               different               factors.

This               school               has               a               71%               acceptance               rate               and               is               getting               increasingly               competitive.

Granite               State
               Granite               State               is               a               great               school               for               adults               looking               to               go               back               to               school               to               earn               their               bachelors               or               associates               degrees.

Granite               state               offers               a               100%               acceptance               rate               so               it               makes               for               a               great               school               for               adults               to               get               their               degree               or               students               who               are               unsure               where               they               want               to               go               next               from               high               school.

The               credits               are               transferable               with               the               university               system               of               New               Hampshire               which               includes               all               the               schools               on               this               list.

The               cost               is               only               $7,335               for               in               state               and               out               of               state               tuition;               however               there               are               no               rooms               on               campus               in               which               to               live               at.

Plymouth               State               University               
               Plymouth               State               is               very               much               like               KSC,               it               is               a               great               college               for               education               majors.

PSU               offers               masters               degree               programs               in               education               and               business               among               others,               and               offer               a               great               learning               experience.

PSU               is               another               satellite               school               of               UNH               which               makes               their               credits               easily               transferable               to               the               larger               university.

The               real               downside               to               PSU               is               it               is               located               basically               in               the               middle               of               nowhere               in               Plymouth;               this               is               not               the               school               for               someone               who               likes               cities               or               shopping,               it               is               better               for               skiers               and               anyone               who               likes               the               outdoors.

The               cost               of               one               year               at               PSU               is               about               $17,000               for               in               state               and               $25,000               out               of               state.
